Iliriana Miftari is an expert on agriculture economics at Novus. In 2006, she joined the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary at University of Prishtina (UP) “Hasan Prishtina”.
Currently, she holds position as teaching assistant at the Department of Agriculture Economics and she is a member of the different professional committees within UP “Hasan Prishtina”. Her professional career outside of academia includes working for FAO, GIZ, AEI, Inter-Cooperation etc, as a national expert in supporting local research team of MAFRD in elaborating a study and draft strategies for agriculture and rural development. She has extensive experience in economic implication of agriculture policy, farm management, agro-ecosystem and ecosystem services, knowledge of understanding and applying statistical and econometric modeling techniques of economic behavior to agriculture changes and developments.
Iliriana holds a Diploma in Agriculture Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary of UP “Hasan Prishtina”. She also earned her Master’s degree in International Environment and Development Studies at Norwegian University of Life Sciences and currently is pursuing her doctoral degree at Justus-Liebig-Giessen University in Germany. She is a member and actively participating at the events of European Association of Agricultural Economists.
